Despite losing Wednesday's Premier League clash 2-1, the Bulgarian forward was one of the stand-out performers for the Cottagers.
Earlier in the day, Berbatov's agent claimed the 32-year-old was seeking a transfer away from Craven Cottage in January.
However, Meulensteen appeared nonchalant over the subject, lavishing praise on the forward as gathered journalists quizzed the Dutchman over Berbatov's future.
Asked whether he was worried that Berbatov could leave in the New Year, Meulensteen replied: "No, not at all."
Meulensteen, who spent five years as Sir Alex Ferguson's understudy, worked with the striker during his time at Manchester United and insists the pair have a good relationship.
"I've not seen or heard what he's said, but if anyone knows Dimitar it's me," he added.
"Look at that performance tonight and tell me he doesn't want to play for this club.
"If he continues playing at that level he's one of the three best players in the league."
Defeat left Fulham languishing in the relegation zone ahead of the visit of Aston Villa on Saturday, before a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton the following week.
