Hamburg midfielder Tomas Rincon is 'keeping cool' after being linked with Hull City, but his club would be prepared to listen to any offers.

Hull manager Steve Bruce is in the market for midfield reinforcements before the transfer window closes and previously held an interest in Stoke City's Wilson Palacios.

Evian duo Eric Tie Bi, who has been on trial, and Mohammed Rabiu have also been linked with moves to the KC Stadium, along with Tottenham Hotspur pair Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore.

Reports in Germany have now claimed that the Tigers have shown an interest in Rincon, who has a year remaining on his Hamburg contract.

The Venezuela international appeared as a substitute in Hamburg's 3-3 opening-day draw with Schalke at the weekend and stated his priority is to play regularly.

"I am with Hamburg and I will keep cool on this (link)," the 25-year-old told the Hamburger Morgenpost.

"For me, it's important to get regular first-team action."

Hamburg coach Thorsten Fink, though, is aware of the need to trim his squad and would be willing to consider a bid for Rincon.

"We have to reduce the amount of players in the first-team squad," said Fink. "If a club comes in with an offer for him, we will definitely have to consider it."

Rincon's Hamburg team-mate Paul Scharner was linked with a move to Hull last week, but Bruce denied he wanted to sign the former Wigan and West Brom utility man.
