Stoke City are weighing up a move for former Tottenham midfielder David Bentley, Sky Sports understands.
Bentley is one of the most attractive free agents around this summer after leaving Spurs earlier this month.
A number of clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on Bentley with the winger keen to fix himself up at a new club as he looks to recapture his best form.
Bentley found himself out of favour at White Hart Lane for the last couple of years and spent last season on loan at Russian club FC Rostov and Blackburn.
New Stoke boss Mark Hughes is a big fan of Bentley, with the player enjoying arguably his best form under the Welshman while he was in charge of Blackburn.
Bentley would jump at the chance to work with Hughes again and he could prove to be a bargain signing this summer if he can get back to the form which helped him break into the England squad.
