Arsene Wenger acknowledges that fresh faces are required at Arsenal, with it vital to have strength in depth.
The Frenchman is happy enough with those currently at his disposal, with the Gunners boasting plenty of international talent within their ranks.
Wenger is, however, aware that injuries and suspensions could leave him short over the second half of the season.
Taking that into account, he is planning to dip into the transfer market during the winter window.
West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame is among those being strongly linked with a switch to the Emirates, and Wenger has refused to rule out making a move.
On possible incomings, he said: "If we have no injuries we are all right, but if we have big injuries we are a bit short."
He added, on the rumours linking him with Diame: "He has a great presence and can drive the midfield.
"I've seen him in games where he's had a big impact, for example against Chelsea."
