Sky Sports understands Huddersfield are poised to sign Reading striker Simon Church on loan.
Huddersfield have been tracking Church for some time and even tried to sign him during the summer transfer window.
The Wales international also attracted interest from several other Championship sides, but Huddersfield have won the race for Church's signature.
Terriers boss Simon Grayson is a big admirer of the striker and is keen to bolster his attacking options as he looks to build on his side's impressive start to life in the Championship.
Church has found himself out of favour at Reading this season and is fifth-choice striker behind Pavel Pogrebnyak, Jason Roberts, Noel Hunt and Adam Le Fondre at the Madejski Stadium.
The 23-year-old has only made one brief appearance in the Capital One Cup this season and is keen to go out and get some regular action under his belt.
