Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has admitted that their draw with Stoke City at the DW Stadium on Saturday was a fair result.
The Latics twice took the lead at home but were pegged back on both occasions, as the Potters held them to a 2-2 draw in their Premier League encounter.
Martinez was pleased with his side's overall performance and also hailed Stoke for their display.
"We saw a Stoke side with energy," he told
Sky Sports. "They are a physical side. They make it very difficult.
"It was unfortunate with the two goals that we conceded, but it was a tremendous performance from us.
"You have to perform like that to get points off Stoke. Probably a draw is a fair reflection of what happened on the pitch."
Al-Habsi praise
Martinez also reserved praised for goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi, who superbly kept out a deflected Charlie Adam free-kick in the 85th minute.
"You always know that you can rely on Ali," he said.
"He does not surprise anymore. He is always at his best."
