Sam Allardyce is confident West Ham United defender James Collins will not require an operation to fix a minor groin problem.
Collins missed Wales' recent friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina and national team coach Chris Coleman had said the centre-half may need a hernia operation.
However, Collins has started both of West Ham's Premier League games since returning to Upton Park from Aston Villa at the start of the month.
And, following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Swansea City, Hammers boss Allardyce confirmed there are no plans to book Collins in for surgery.
Prevention
Allardyce said: "He has not got a hernia. He has a slight groin problem, I think.
"There is no need for an operation. He just needs to do his rehab and prevention and he'll be okay.
"We'll probably look to give him a rest [in the Capital One Cup] against Crewe on Tuesday and then look to play him against Fulham. He's okay."
Collins endured a torrid afternoon at the Liberty Stadium and gifted Swansea's second goal to Michu with a sloppy back-pass.
