Luka Modric: Tottenham midfielder is again wanted by Europe's best clubs
Carlo Ancelotti has refused to confirm if Paris St Germain will bid for Luka Modric this summer but has praised the midfielder's ability.
Modric has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham over the close season with Real Madrid believed to be leading the chase.
It is understood that Spurs would demand a fee of around £35 million for their talented playmaker which would put him out of the price range of many clubs.
However, backed by their Qatari owners, PSG have the type of financial clout that would allow them to seal such an extravagant purchase.
Modric again dazzled during Euro 2012 which came as no surprise to the former Chelsea and AC Milan manager.
"I did not need to see him at the Euros to know how much talent he has," he said.
"I knew his capabilities before. Now he has confirmed his high quality for those who did not know."
PSG have been linked with a number of high-profile players already this summer but Ancelotti stressed he would not be drawn into discussing any potential move for the Croatia international.
"I am sorry to disappoint you but I can't speak publicly about the transfer market," he told AS.com.
"You have to understand that it would be foolish of me to speak openly about our objectives and movements in relation to quality players."
