Ahmad Benali has told Sky Sports of his delight after sealing a move to Italian club Brescia.
Benali has moved on a free transfer after his deal with Manchester City expired earlier this summer.
A host of clubs had shown an interest in the 20-year-old former England youth international, who made his senior international debut with Libya in May.
He has now opted to sign a three-year deal with Serie B side Brescia.
"I am delighted to join Brescia Calcio, and am looking forward to repaying the faith they have shown in me," he told Sky Sports.
"I am ready and eager to help Brescia this season in the quest to return to Serie A, where the club belongs.
"The thought of a challenge in a new country excites me and I look forward to proving myself and showing my qualities"
His agent Adam Bouskouchi added: "Ahmad felt like Brescia was the best club for him, having received offers from a number of different clubs both in England and abroad.
"Brescia has a strong tradition of cultivating young, talented players and, as a result, is followed closely by scouts from around the world.
"Ahmad is delighted at the trust and confidence the club has placed in him."
