Chelsea new boy happy to have started training

Branislav Ivanovic says he will help new signing Marko Marin to settle in at Chelsea and is confident the winger can make a positive impact at the club. Marin has joined the Blues from Werder Bremen after a deal was agreed for the 23-year-old before the end of last season. Though the midfielder is a Germany international, he has a Serbian background and Ivanovic has been quick to offer his assistance. "I met him in the World Cup in 2010 when he played against us for Germany," the Serbia captain told the club's official website. "We met again when he signed for Chelsea, and we trained today for the first time together and I am very impressed and feel very positive about him.

Confident

"He feels confident and he feels ready and this is most important for now. "It is great for me because I can speak the Serbian language with him and I will try to help him but he speaks English already." Marin is currently enjoying his first few days of training with his new team-mates after the summer break. However, the midfielder's keenness to settle with the European champions saw him familiarise himself with the club before pre-season began. "I am now here for three weeks and I think I know everybody [who works here] now," Marin said. "I am happy to start team training now and I feel good. It was the first time we trained together with the ball, we did a lot and it was good intensity. "The first two days we have only one session a day and then it starts with double sessions."
