Manchester City youngster Mohammed Abu is open to the idea of taking in a loan spell at Anderlecht, as he continues to work on his game.
The 20-year-old midfielder has spent the last two years on City's books, but they are keen for him to gain first-team experience away from the Etihad Stadium.
Much of his football to date has come with Norwegian side Stromgodset, with two stints allowing him to catch the eye.
Abu has offered enough to earn international recognition with Ghana and feels the time is right for him to take a step up in class.
Belgian giants Anderlecht hold a prominent standing in European football circles and will be gracing the UEFA Champions League once again in 2012/13.
Abu is aware of their interest in his services, and talk of a proposed link-up between City and Anderlecht could work in his favour.
Opportunity
There are, however, a number of other sides keeping a close eye on his situation, with scouts from Holland, Spain and Scotland weighing up the merits of a loan approach.
"I know that Anderlecht have been to watch me," Abu told
Het Nieuwsblad.
"I hope I can convince them to take me because I will soon be returning to Manchester.
"They (City) want me to play in a stronger league and speed up my development."
He added: "There have been Dutch teams in the stands, and Spanish and Scottish teams are also interested, but Anderlecht would be a nice opportunity.
"I don't know their players, but I know that they are a team that challenges for the title every year and compete in Europe."
