Danish winger claims to have already attracted interest

Peter Lovenkrands is on his way out of Newcastle, but is hoping he will be offered the opportunity to remain in the Premier League. The Danish forward has spent the last three-and-a-half years on Tyneside, having initially joined on a short-term basis in January 2009. He was a regular during his first two seasons at the club and helped the Magpies to the Championship title in 2009/10. Opportunities proved to be limited in 2011/12, though, with Alan Pardew favouring other forward-thinking options.

Goal

Lovenkrands has not been offered an extension to his contract as a result and will be leaving St James' Park as a free agent. He is keen to remain in English football and claims to have already attracted interest. "The goal is to play in the Premier League next season, too," Lovenkrands told Sporten.dk. "There have already been some enquiries, therefore I am hopeful for the future."
