Striker unaware of interest from Croatian side Rijeka

Bolton Wanderers striker Ivan Klasnic has played down speculation that he could join Croatian side Rijeka at the end of the season. Klasnic, who was born in Hamburg, has yet to play club football in Croatia and has spent the past three seasons with Bolton. He is the club's top scorer in the Premier League this term with eight goals, although he has started only 15 games for Owen Coyle's side. The 32-year-old has been tipped to leave the Reebok Stadium in the summer if Bolton are relegated and he has been linked with a move to Rijeka. However, the Croatia international is unaware of any interest from Rijeka, who are in the bottom half of the table, and cooled suggestions of a deal. "This is the first time that I have heard something like that," Klasnic told Novi List, with Bolton needing to win at Stoke on Sunday to have any chance of avoiding the drop. "I don't know anything about Rijeka's interest and, for sure, nobody has called me so far. "I'm glad that they rate me so highly in Croatia and I understand that they have big ambitions but the reality is something different."
