Roberto Mancini has hinted that Manchester City are suffering from refereeing decisions and claims the 'rules are not the same for everyone'.
His side face an uphill task to win the Premier League title with four games remaining, while Manchester United have been at the centre of controversial decisions in recent weeks.
Ashley Young has won penalties for the Red Devils against Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers, with the winger being criticised for going to ground too easily.
His manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has even admitted that he has felt the need to speak to Young about the issue.
Manchester City, on the other hand, were denied a penalty against Norwich last week, despite contact appearing to be made on Carlos Tevez, who was ultimately booked for diving.
Mancini commented: "After some of the situations I saw in the last three or four weeks, I think it is really difficult for us."
But, when asked to elaborate on his comments, Mancini was remaining tight-lipped.

He said: "I can say it is a very strange situation, only this. For us it is important to finish well this season.
"We want to try to win the next game. That will be difficult. Wolves are bottom of the table and it will be a tough game. We need to play like against Norwich."
Despite the Italian's attempts to stay away from criticising referees, he was again pressed and asked to explain further.
He said: "The rules are not the same for everyone."
And when asked whether he meant that Manchester United were experiencing 'different' rules to Manchester City, Mancini refused to go into detail.
He said: "I am not saying this, I don't want to say this. I said the rules, maybe sometimes, are different.
"When I was in Italy I always thought here there were the best referees. My idea has changed, probably."
