Striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is eyeing his 50th Wolves goal as he calls for the club to pull together in a last-ditch bid to avoid the drop.
Wolves will go into Saturday evening's game at Stoke at least six points adrift of safety after last weekend's 3-2 home defeat to fellow strugglers Bolton.
Ebanks-Blake returned to the starting line-up for that game and despite playing a part in Michael Kightly's opener, the forward's five-month wait for that landmark goal continues.
He said: "I'll be getting that 50th goal soon, don't worry about that, but Premier League survival is the most important thing.
"All we can do now is give it our best for these last seven games and what will be will be.
"We can't worry too much about the other teams now. It's a case of just play each game, try and pick up as many points as we can and see what happens.
"We have to keep going and, at the end of it, whatever happens, then is the time for people to sit and reflect and have their opinions.
Mathematically
"While we are still mathematically able of surviving then why not be positive and see what it brings? We've got a squad here that want to play in the Premier League and want to stay in this league.
"We've just got to all pull together between now and the end of the season and give it our best."
The defeat to Bolton may have left Wolves seemingly doomed but Ebanks-Blake feels there were encouraging signs in the way his team dominated much of the game.
He added: "When you look back and reflect on it, I don't know how we lost the game. The reality is we conceded three goals which you can't do at this level.
"You have to look for positives and for long periods we played really well as a team. Hopefully, with a similar performance on Saturday, we can come away with three points."
Wolves boss Terry Connor is certainly refusing to abandon hope of a dramatic escape from the drop, despite picking up just one point in six matches since he took the reins at Molineux.
He said: "We've been written off and you can use that for motivation, but I look at it another way as well.
"I said to the lads 'There's a five-point gap between Manchester United and Manchester City at the top of the table but no-one is writing Man City off.' No-one is saying the title race is over.
"Our gap is six points and people are writing us off but there's not much difference. Why can't we make up that gap?
"I remember when Blackburn came and beat us they went six points clear and everyone said that it was down to four teams involved.
Things change
"I looked at the table this week and they are in the bottom three again. Things do change.
"If it is that there's a miracle needed for us to stay up it has to start somewhere and so why not at Stoke on Saturday?"
Connor will be without midfield duo Jamie O'Hara and Stephen Hunt after the pair both underwent groin surgery this week.
But former skipper Karl Henry could be recalled to the starting line-up against his old club after playing for the reserves in midweek following his recent hamstring problem.
