Brazilian defender wants to stay in his homeland

Brazilian defender Dede feels he is not ready for a move to European football despite reported interest in him from Manchester United and Juventus. The 23-year-old, whose real name is Anderson Vital da Silva, currently plays for Vasco da Gama in the top flight of Brazilian football. He made his international debut in the inaugural Superclasico de las Americans, an annual football match between Brazil and Argentina, featuring in both legs as the Brazilians shut out their opponents to win 2-0 on aggregate. The defender is highly rated in his homeland, and was voted best player in the 2011 Brazilian Championship by the fans. But the defender does not feel that he is ready to embark on a European adventure and wants to stay in his native country. "I am not ready to leave," Dede told Lancenet. "When I am, I will say. Right now, I have to enjoy what is happening to me at Vasco. It is too soon to leave. "Brazilian football is making me grow, I feel ready to represent the national team in a good way without having to leave the country."
