Two goals in two games have whet the Dutchman's appetite

Royston Drenthe is aiming to make scoring a regular occurrence after netting for the second successive game. The on-loan Real Madrid midfielder's long-range effort opened the scoring in Saturday's 1-1 draw with QPR, as well as netting after just 49 seconds in the FA Cup win over Blackpool. But the Dutch international feels he should be getting his name on the scoresheet more often having netted just four times in all competitions this season. "I'm telling myself a lot that I have to shoot more because I think I have a good left foot," the 24-year-old told the club's official website. "Sometimes I'm passing too much.

Qualities

"You try and get yourself better involved in the games but I think sometimes when you can have a good shot on goal, you have to try. "That was my third (shot against QPR). The first went into the hands of the goalkeeper, the second was over and the third went in, so I think if it can be like that every game everybody will be happy! "I'm kidding. But that is one of my qualities so I have to show that and I have to try every game and train hard during the week so that I can make more goals like this. "The Premier League is really different from the Spanish competition, for example. Everything's a little bit harder here, but I'm getting used to it. "There's more pain every game. But I think English football is exactly the competition where I have to be."
