'Difficult day' for men from Molineux
Wolves interim boss Terry Connor was left deflated after watching Fulham crush his side 5-0 at Craven Cottage.
A hat-trick from Pavel Pogrebnyak and a brace from Clint Dempsey steered the hosts to a comprehensive and well-deserved win over Connor's woeful side.
The Black Country outfit had fought back from a 2-0 half-time deficit to draw at Newcastle in the new manager's first match in charge last weekend, but a repeat never looked likely in West London as his team conceded three second-half goals to slip back into the bottom three of the Premier League.
And after the game Connor told Sky Sports News: "It was a real difficult day for us today and we came with a game plan with a way of trying to defend and I thought we were okay for the first 34, 35 minutes.
"They got a disputed corner-kick and we fell asleep and we didn't mark properly.
"And then we tried to get through to half-time (with a 1-0 deficit) but we gave the ball away sloppily just before the break and it ended up two-nil.
"Second half was tough as we tried to push on to get one back and make it difficult for Fulham but they're a good side with good players and they counter-attacked us really well and we ended up losing goals at regular intervals really."
