Carlo Cudicini has warned his Tottenham team-mates not to get complacent when they take on Stevenage in the FA Cup fifth-round.
Manager Harry Redknapp is expected to field a weakened side at the League One outfit on Sunday and the Italian shot-stopper is likely to replace regular Brad Friedel in the starting XI.
Cudicini, who won two FA Cups at Chelsea, insists the 47 places which separate the clubs on the league ladder will not matter a jot when they meet at the Lamex Stadium.
"In the FA Cup, there's no such thing as an easy game. We need to be on top form on Sunday, and it's another step towards Wembley," Cudicini told
Spurs TV Online.
"We know the atmosphere will be very good and we have to be ready.
"I've been around for a few years and I know what the FA Cup is about - maybe a few of the younger lads are unsure - and cup games are always great."
Cudicini, 38, believes that a good cup run can help Spurs' title bid rather than become a hindrance, which some top clubs see the competition as.
"Most of the time, when you have a nice run in the cup, it helps the team to keep concentration in the league as well. I think the two things run parallel," he said.
"In the cup you have a chance to make a few changes and all the players who have come in this season have been ready. Hopefully it will be the same this Sunday."
