Toffees boss looking to retain on-loan striker

Everton manager David Moyes does not believe it would cost a fortune to push through a permanent deal to retain striker Denis Stracqualursi. The 24-year-old Argentinian is currently on a season-long loan at Goodison Park and is now starting to produce the goods. Stracqualursi scored his first Premier League goal in Everton's 2-0 weekend win over Chelsea and Moyes was full of praise for the striker for his display. Moyes has hinted the Merseysiders will now secure the striker's services on a permanent basis, stating his parent club Tigre do not have lofty demands.

Cost

"I don't know how much he'd cost, but it wouldn't be massive," explained Moyes. "I saw things (against Chelsea), like early in the second half when the ball went through to the keeper and Denis chased it down, then the next player did the same. "That got the crowd up, the players pick up on it and it gives everyone a real lift. He's been doing fantastic for us."
