Loan star claims he could stay on at Loftus Road

Taye Taiwo claims Queens Park Rangers have already expressed an interest in making his loan move permanent. The Nigeria international linked up with the Rs during the January transfer window after enduring a frustrating time at parent club AC Milan. A lack of action convinced him that he needed to find regular games elsewhere, and QPR were only too happy to offer him those opportunities. The 26-year-old is considered to be among the finest full-backs in European football and arrived at Loftus Road with considerable international and UEFA Champions League experience under his belt. With QPR having outlined ambitious plans for the future, his profile fits the mould at the West London club. Taiwo has hinted that he would be willing to stay on at Loftus Road past the end of the season, with the Rs having made him aware that they would welcome the opportunity to bring him on board full-time. "The fans didn't believe in me in Italy but I'm happy here and QPR want to sign me on a permanent basis," he said.
