Midfielder eager to fight for his place at Fulham

Fulham midfielder Patjam Kasami claims he received an offer from Juventus during the January transfer window, but is determined to fight for his place at Craven Cottage. The 19-year-old joined Fulham on a four-year contract from Palermo last summer, but has yet to make a sustained impact in Martin Jol's side. He has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers, but has featured only once in 2012 as a late substitute in the FA Cup. The Switzerland Under 21 international was offered the chance to return to Serie A last month after title contenders Juventus showed an interest. However, while Kasami was flattered to be a target for the Old Lady, he is eager to make his mark in the Premier League with Fulham. "I am honoured to have received an offer from Juventus, which is a great club," Kasami told Blick. "But I am halfway through my first season at Fulham and, right now, I don't want to go away. "Lately, I'm not playing a lot and I'm not happy with this situation, but I'd rather stay and wait for my chance."
