Tottenham's teenage striker Souleymane Coulibaly is delighted to have the opportunity to develop his game amongst Premier League stars.

Tottenham captured the Ivory Coast U17 international following his Golden Boot-winning performance at the U17 World Cup in Mexico last year.

Since his move from Siena, Coulibaly has scored three in his last six games as Spurs reached the quarter-finals of the NextGen Series - an U19 version of the UEFA Champions League.

The frontman will have the chance to extend his scoring record as Spurs face Liverpool in the last eight on Wednesday night and Coulibaly is relishing the tie at White Hart Lane.

"I'm in a good group of players which I'm still trying to break through," he said. "I think bit by bit I'll pick it up and improve.

Honoured

"The Liverpool game is very big for me, very important; I don't sleep easily with this on my mind. It's on my mind all the time, it means absolutely everything to me and I'm desperate to win the game."

After receiving the 'Most Promising African' accolade at the CAF annual awards, Coulibaly revealed he is excited to be a part of and train with the Premier League side.

"I'm very, very happy to be here," he added. "Spurs have treated me really well. Everything Spurs have said they'll do, they've done. I respect that.

"What I want to do is improve all the time as a player. Every time I watch Gareth Bale train he does something different. He is incredible.

"I was honoured with the Most Promising African Player award, that was a huge, huge thing for me."
