Full-back poised for Ewood Park switch

Blackburn Rovers are in talks to sign Young Boys defender Scott Sutter as they look to bolster their squad. The English-born full-back has been granted permission by Young Boys to travel to England to try and conclude a move to Ewood Park. The 23-year-old has found himself out of favour at Young Boys recently and the Swiss club are happy to let him move on. Sutter has admitted he is ready to return to England after dropping down the pecking order at Young Boys. "If I have no future with YB, I want to go back to my homeland. I've seen the Super League after nine-and-a-half years, "says Sutter told Blick.ch Sutter impressed during last season's UEFA Champions League campaign against Tottenham and he has been linked with a move to England for some time. A number of clubs have been credited with an interest in Sutter, but it appears Blackburn are in pole position to land the right-back. Rovers boss Steve Kean is keen to bolster his squad in this month's transfer window and Sutter could help fill the void left by Michel Salgado's expected departure with the Spaniard currently frozen out at Ewood Park due to a contractual dispute.
