Italy international reported to be on Villas-Boas' January radar
The agent of Sebastian Giovinco claims Roman Abramovich is a confirmed admirer of the Parma midfielder amid reports Chelsea are preparing a January bid.
Andre Villas-Boas is said to have been watching the former Juventus man since the Stamford Bridge boss' time at Porto.
And Andrea D'Amico, the representative of the attack-minded Italy international, has now added to the speculation by stating Chelsea owner Abramovich has been a fan since his club played Juventus in 2009.
Giovinco has in the past been linked with Arsenal and West Ham, but D'Amico has left little doubt the 24-year-old would prefer a move to West London.
D'Amico told Sportal.it: "It is no secret Roman Abramovich likes Sebastian Giovinco.
"The Chelsea boss was impressed by Sebastian in 2008/09 when he faced the Blues in the Champions League with Juventus.
"Also, if Villas Boas really loves the technical qualities of the player, it means he is a football connoisseur. But at this moment, the market is closed and agents cannot be contacted."
