Queens Park Rangers have denied they are preparing a bid for LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham.
Rangers are flush with cash following the takeover of the club by Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes and brought in 13 players during the summer transfer window.
Beckham's contract with the Galaxy expires at the end of the MLS season in November and rumours had linked the Loftus Road club with a move for the former England captain.
However, QPR vice-chairman Amit Bhatia has denied the club are interested in signing the 36-year-old.
"There's absolutely no truth in it," Bhatia told West London Sport.
"David Beckham is a great player and I hope in the next few years we'll be signing players of such stature, but not now."
