Sky Sports sources understand Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore has rejected the opportunity to join West Ham on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old was mentioned as a possible makeweight in any potential deal to bring Hammers captain Scott Parker to White Hart Lane.
Sam Allardyce would have welcomed his arrival and it would have tempered any potential loss of Parker.
But Livermore, who has been out on loan six times already in his career, wants to stay at the club and fight for his place.
And he has made a good start to the new season having started and scored against Hearts in the first leg of the Europa League play-off, and also played in the second leg.
The rangy midfielder also started the Premier League clash against Manchester United and came on as a substitute against Manchester City on Sunday.
