Blackburn boss Steve Kean is set to complete his first signing of the summer in the form of Radosav Petrovic.

Kean also thinks Kalanic is on the verge of leaving

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is set to complete his first signing of the summer after confirming he is on the verge of a deal for Partizan Belgrade midfielder Radosav Petrovic. Sky Sports sources revealed on Wednesday that the 22-year-old Serbian was having a medical and a work permit is now the only obstacle to the player being unveiled. Kean has been a long-term admirer of Petrovic and is especially eager to complete the deal after seeing Jermaine Jones return to Schalke after his loan. "We're very close," said the Blackburn boss. "We've agreed a fee, we've agreed personal terms and now we're just subject to a work permit and Petrovic will become a Blackburn player.

Bid

"He's a fantastic player, I've seen him for a number of years. Unfortunately for us we lost Jermaine Jones back to Schalke and we've been looking to strengthen in that area." One player who could be set to leave Ewood Park is Nikola Kalinic, with the striker likely to join Ukrainian side Dnipro. "That's been quite complicated," added Kean. "We believe a bid has been accepted by the Ukrainian club that has been interested in Niko and if that goes through, then we wish him all the best. "I think we're very close to agreeing a deal and I think he'll move on."
