Peruvian striker admits he would consider summer switch
Paolo Guerrero could be tempted to leave Hamburg, but the club insist they have received no bids.
The Peru international is hot property right now following his heroics at the 2011 Copa America.
He finished that event as the top scorer in the competition, with a hat-trick in a third-place play-off against Venezuela helping him to five goals in total.
Guerrero is now taking a well-earned break ahead of the new season, but has hinted that he may not start the campaign in Hamburg.
"I am on holiday and it is a fact that I am still under contract at Hamburg," he told
Deutsche Pressagentur.
"But, at some point in life, everyone fancies a change of scenery."
Incredible
Guerrero is contracted to Hamburg until 2014 and the Bundesliga outfit are adamant that they will do all they can to keep the 27-year-old.
General manager Frank Arnesen said: "I am very happy to see Paolo Guerrero become the top scorer at the Copa America. Scoring five goals at such a tournament is incredible.
"Up until now, Hamburg have not received any bids from any other clubs."
