Bursaspor enter Bangura chase

Turkish outfit Bursaspor are hoping to beat a number of Premier League clubs to the signing of Teteh Bangura.

Turks eye AIK striker as a replacement for Miller

Turkish outfit Bursaspor are hoping to beat a number of Premier League clubs to the signing of Teteh Bangura. The Sierra Leone international currently plies his trade in the Swedish top flight with AIK Solna. At just 21 years of age, and able to boast an impressive strike rate in Scandinavian football, the youngster is now reported to be drawing admiring glances from across Europe. The likes of Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham are all believed to have taken a look at Bangura. Bursaspor, though, are hoping they can pip the English quartet to the post. They are bracing themselves for the seemingly imminent exit of Scottish striker Kenny Miller and are keen to bring in a suitable replacement as soon as possible. Bangura could be that man, but for now his representative is remaining tight-lipped on the matter.

Interest

"You will have to ask Bursaspor about that, I can neither confirm nor deny," Patrick Mork told Fotbollskanalen. Asked if there had been interest from the Turkish outfit, he added: "Yes, they have been to a lot of games. "It's no closer than anything else though." Pressed on whether AIK had received a formal approach for their highly-rated forward. Mork said: "I don't want to comment on that." Bangura has claimed that he would welcome the opportunity to see out the current campaign in Sweden, as he is in the running for the golden boot.
