Rob Hulse has snubbed Millwall because he wants to prove himself with QPR, according to his agent.

Focus is on proving ability in the Premier League with QPR

Rob Hulse has snubbed Millwall because he wants to prove himself as a Premier League player with Queens Park Rangers, according to his agent. The 31-year-old was reunited with manager Neil Warnock last summer when he signed a three-year contract after arriving from Derby, but failed to establish himself in West London as QPR won the Championship title. Hulse, who started just 12 matches last season, has been the subject of transfer talk this summer, but his agent, Matt Buck, insists he is fully focused on proving his worth in the top flight. "There was an inquiry to QPR and there was an inquiry to Rob to see what his thoughts were on it," said Buck.

Situation

"Basically he wants to go back pre-season and try to prove himself to the coaching staff and people at QPR that he warrants a place in the Premier League 25-man squad. "And hopefully the Premier League matchday squad." He added: "Rob is not even considering temporary moves at the moment. "With Millwall, if the situation changes, we told them we would keep them in informed like anybody else. "But his whole 100 per cent focus is to get back, work hard in pre-season, work hard in the friendly games and prove he is worth that place." Meanwhile, QPR have confirmed they will face Serie A outfit Atalanta in a pre-season friendly at the newly-promoted Serie A side's Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia home on 30th July.
