Turner, Akpan and Agard leave the Toffees after contracts expire
Everton have released Iain Turner, Hope Akpan and Kieran Agard after their contracts with the club expired.
Goalkeeper Turner, who joined the Toffees in 2003, made only seven first-team appearances and finished this season's campaign on loan at Preston.
Midfielder Akpan and striker Agard, who both spent time in Everton Academy, moved up the ranks but were unable to make the permanent step up.
Agard had a taste of Premier League action coming on for the Toffees as a substitute against Chelsea and, after finishing the season on loan with Kilmarnock, leaves the club with six senior appearances to his name.
And 19-year-old Akpan, whose one senior appearance came in a Europa League tie with BATE Borisov in December 2009, spent time on loan at Hull earlier in the season.
