Dutch star happy to hang around despite no CL football

Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart insists he is not about to quit the club in search of UEFA Champions League football. The Dutch star has made a huge impact in his maiden season in England, grabbing 13 goals so far. However, some reports claimed that the former Real Madrid man could look to move after Spurs failed to finish in the top four - meaning they will not be back in the Champions League next season, although they do look set to claim fifth which would gain them entry to the Europa League. And Van der Vaart insists he is more than happy to remain at White Hart Lane. "We always want to play in Europe. It is good to have the experience from the Europa League and it would be a nice title to win," he told The Sun. "I like to be playing every two or three days. Of course I want to be playing in the Champions League. "But I have only been here one year. I have enjoyed my year and we will see what next season will bring. "I won't be looking to leave Tottenham to play in the Champions League. "It's really important to be in Europe. You saw this season that being in the Champions League has helped us. "It is so important for players and that's why we want to win our final game against Birmingham."
