Kalinic to consider future

Nikola Kalinic will look for a new club if he fails to force his way back into the Blackburn side.

Striker unsure why he has been left out of Blackburn side

Nikola Kalinic admits he will have to look for a new club in the summer if he fails to force his way back into the Blackburn Rovers side. The Croatian striker has scored seven goals in 42 Premier League appearances for Rovers since his 2009 arrival from Hajduk Split, but has fallen out of favour in recent weeks. He has not featured in Rovers' last four games and has not even been on the bench for the club's past two league fixtures. The 23-year-old is disappointed to have lost his place at Ewood Park and is unsure why he is being overlooked by manager Steve Kean. Kalinic insists he has not been transfer listed by Blackburn, but acknowledged he is prepared to review his future at the end of the season.

Unhappy

"I don't know anything about me being transfer listed," Kalinic told Sportske Novosti. "I still have a contract for the next two years but, yes, if nothing changes before the summer, then I will have to find a new club. "But, nobody has transfer listed me. The only truth is that I'm unhappy with my status. "Why? Well, because I'm not playing, but I still believe in myself and I'm sure that I will soon be in the first XI again. "I would just be happy if somebody would tell me why I have been pushed aside since my return from national team action."
