Former Wigan goalkeeper wants to stay at the seaside

Blackpool goalkeeper Richard Kingson has indicated he would like to remain at the club on a long-term basis. The 32-year-old signed for the Seasiders last summer following his release from Wigan Athletic. Kingson signed a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months and has impressed this season with his displays.

Contract

Blackpool are still battling to preserve their Premier League status, which means the club will not address the Ghana international's contract situation until the end of the season. "My wish is to stay at Blackpool because I love the place and the people very much," said Kingson. "If I get a new contract with them, OK that's fine. My agent will meet the club at the end of the season."
