Nigerian centre-half would consider permanent Fener switch

Joseph Yobo has expressed his 'love' for the Premier League, but is feeling settled at Fenerbahce. The centre-half linked up with the Turkish outfit back in August, agreeing a season-long loan switch from Everton. Having fallen out of favour at Goodison Park, he felt a fresh start was required in order to reignite his career. Fenerbahce offered him that opportunity, providing Yobo with a new challenge after eight years on Merseyside. The Nigeria international admits the standard in Turkey is not as high as that in England, but he is enjoying his time there.

Enjoyment

He could yet turn out in the Premier League again, with there a chance he could be returned to Everton, but Fenerbahce have the option to make his loan switch permanent at the end of the season and the 30-year-old is open to such a deal. "I am settling well at Fenerbahce," he said. "It is not the Premier League but it is a good league and there are many good players here. "I love the Premier League but I am enjoying my time here with Fenerbahce."
