Rafael van der Vaart has insisted Tottenham must control their aggression against AC Milan on Wednesday night and not go seeking revenge for a couple of controversial incidents in the first leg.
Spurs triumphed 1-0 at the San Siro last month to take command of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie, but the match was marred by ugly scenes at the final whistle as Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso confronted assistant Tottenham coach Joe Jordan.
Vedran Corluka had earlier been stretchered off with an ankle injury following a two-footed lunge by Mathieu Flamini that Harry Redknapp later branded an 'absolute disgrace' and a 'leg-breaker'.
Corluka has since recovered and could make his comeback in the return match at White Hart Lane, while Flamini is also expected to line up for the Italians.
Van der Vaart has no worries that Corluka might seek retribution, insisting that all Tottenham's players know the importance of keeping 11 men on the pitch.
Dutch playmaker Van der Vaart, who is also available once more following a calf problem, is confident Spurs can keep their heads and book a place in the quarter-finals.

"It's great that Vedran is fit. He is a very good player," said Van der Vaart.
"Of course it was a hard tackle from Flamini, and maybe he's still a bit angry, but we need him, we need him for the whole 90 minutes.
"He is not going to do stupid things. It was a hard tackle, but that is part of the game.
"Was I upset at what happened with Joe? For me, the most important thing was that we won that game.
"They were a bit frustrated. Of course Gattuso wants to win every game, so he was a bit upset. But for me it wasn't a problem."
