Powerful left-back hopes for further success

Wolves defender George Elokobi is hoping to land another knockout blow against Arsenal on Saturday. The 25-year-old scored a fine header and is claiming the other goal that saw his side beat Manchester United 2-1 last weekend, ending the Red Devils' unbeaten run. Elokobi has been on the winning team against Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool this season and is hoping for another unlikely success at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League. He admits he is prepared for the pace of Theo Walcott down the right wing, and is eagerly anticipating the clash in North London. "I always prepare for the player I might be up against. I watch recordings of their matches or study them live and I was concentrating on Walcott during England's game against Denmark," he said in The Sun. "He put in a great cross for Darren Bent's goal and I was checking which way he goes in different situations and working out how to play him. "You must get your preparation right and I'm always working on my game. I watch DVDs of my own performances to see how I can do better as well." Elokobi made the switch to Molineux from Colchester in 2008 and the Cameroonian stopper is keen to help Wolves avoid relegation this term. He added: "I've worked hard to get to this level and got to keep that going. We've shown this season we can compete against anybody and have beaten the big teams. "But we've not done so well against the clubs at the bottom. "We must put that right. There's no point doing well in the glamour games and then going down. "Last week's win has given us confidence and we won't be scared of Arsenal."
