Striker heads to Craven Cottage for potential loan switch

Sky Sports News understands Eidur Gudjohnsen could join Fulham on loan before the transfer window closes. The Stoke City striker had earlier stated he will not be leaving the Midlanders in the January transfer window, despite being linked with a move to Dutch side Ajax. The Iceland striker has made just five appearances for the Potters since joining from Monaco on deadline day six months ago. But it looks like the 32-year-old could head to Craven Cottage for the rest of the season, after Fulham expressed an interest in the former Bolton, Chelsea and Barcelona performer. Stoke have already let Tuncay leave for Wolfsburg on Monday and Ricardo Fuller has also been linked with a move away from the Britannia Stadium, with Sunderland showing interest.
