Swedish veteran pleased to feature against minnows

Celtic's new signing Freddie Ljungberg was happy making his Bhoys debut in their Scottish Cup win over Berwick Rangers. The Swedish veteran was set to play in last week's Old Firm win over Rangers but he was struck down with a virus leaving him unable to play. Ljungberg, formerly of West Ham and Arsenal, featured for 60 minutes in Sunday's cup win and was happy with his run-out. The 33-year-old was pleased with his outing and is now focusing on improving his fitness and playing for Celtic as much as possible. "I got sick and couldn't do much about it," explained Ljungberg after missing out on their win over Rangers. "I just want to go out and play football." He continued on their Berwick clash: "We talked about me maybe doing 45-60 minutes and see how I got on. I did 60 minutes and that was okay. "I've just got to play and push on because that's what I love to do."
