Roma midfielder Jeremy Menez has expressed his desire to play for Manchester United in the future.
The 23-year-old revealed that he turned down an opportunity to move to Old Trafford when he was a youngster.
However, the playmaker, who is currently under contract with the Italian giants until 2013, claims he would now jump at the chance to join Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Menez signed for Roma from French side Monaco for £10.7million in 2008 and recently made an impression in a starring role against Basel in the Champions League.
The player told Ma Chaine Sport: "When I was 15-years old Sir Alex Ferguson wanted me at Manchester United.
"But we both decided that it was better for me to learn elsewhere."
Menez spent four years in the youth academy at Sochaux, and two years in the senior team before joining Monaco.
"I dream of being able to have another chance to join United, sooner or later," he continued.
The France international has also expressed his desire to win the Italian championship with the Giallorossi.
"Our goal is to win the Scudetto. (Roma's head coach Claudio) Ranieri appreciates me and I want to be a huge success here."
