Mateja Kezman has confirmed that he will not be returning to play in Serbia after leaving Paris St Germain.

Kezman departed PSG earlier this week by mutual consent, and he is now considering his options.

He was linked with a possible move to one of his former clubs Partizan Belgrade, but he has now confirmed that will not happen, instead saying he is likely to move to America or the Middle East.

"I just know that my preferred destinations are the Middle East and America," said Kezman.

"Partizan? No, I will not return home just yet.

"I have many options on my desk and I don't know where will I move, but I can tell you one thing: I will not continue my career in Europe.

"I'm just happy to be free again. That is why I don't really care when I will find my next club, maybe right now, maybe in January.

"I think I will go on playing for about three years. Then, one of my projects is to open a football academy in Serbia for Balkan's children.

"I made my final decision about one month ago. For a long time I kept hope that things could evolve. But when you see you are not played even when the other forwards can't score, you ask yourself some questions. I understood there was no more future.

"I have nothing bad to say about PSG. I have been proud to belong to that club, happy to live in that city. I dreamt to play at PSG one day. Moreover, at Paris I have grown as a man."
