Sam Allardyce believes injured duo will return soon

Sam Allardyce is hopeful Gael Givet and Benjani will make a swift return to the Blackburn team after both picked up knocks against Chelsea. Givet had to be withdrawn from the game slightly after the hour mark, whilst goalscorer Benjani was unable to play the second half. Allardyce, however, is confident he will be able to call on their services in the not too distant future.

Confident

"Gael has had a lot of knocks recently," he told the club's official website. "He's had a lot of kicks and bruising. This time he's caught the bottom of somebody's boot on a clearance and it is on the instep. "So we hope it is not too serious. At half-time Benji felt his hamstring slightly, and with hamstrings if you try and risk those, and you get them torn a little bit more, then you are looking at weeks, rather than just a couple of days."
