Hammers midfielder feels team-mate could surprise Gunners

West Ham midfielder Valon Behrami has marked out team-mate Victor Obinna as a danger man as they prepare to face in-form Arsenal on Saturday. The Nigerian international scored his side's third in their 3-1 victory over Stoke on Wednesday in the Carling Cup as a substitute, and is expected to be a starter for their visit to the Emirates. Obinna arrived at the start of the season from Inter and has impressed since making his debut against Chelsea last month to become an important player for the struggling Hammers. Behrami acknowledged that their visit to North London was a tough challenge, but Obinna's ability could give the Gunners a shock. "It'll be a tough game but we've done well against Arsenal in the last couple of seasons," said Behrami. "If we keep going like we did in the second half and extra-time against Stoke then I'm sure we can get a good result, especially if Victor plays. "Everyone will fear playing him one against one. He's unbelievable and can score every time he gets a chance."

Positive

The Swiss international also talked up the feel-good factor their Carling Cup progress is giving them, despite being bottom of the Premier League table nine games into the season. "A cup run can help, as it brings a positive feeling," he added. "The reason we've been losing matches isn't just physical, it's in our heads. "We're sometimes a bit scared, as we showed when we lost to Newcastle. That's a shame as when the team starts to play, they play very well. "It's not easy when you start the season like we have. So it's good to have this cup run."
