Keeper eyes move for regular football

Blackburn goalkeeper Jason Brown is resigned to leaving the club when his contract expires this summer as he searches for regular first team football. Brown is currently on loan at Leeds United after finding himself down the pecking order at Ewood Park. The Wales international has no ill-feelings towards Blackburn for his lack of first-team opportunities, but feels the time is right to move at this stage of his career. "I have enjoyed my time at Blackburn and the club has been fabulous to me, but I feel I need to be playing regularly at this stage of my career," Brown told skysports.com. "My contract expires in the summer and I believe it is the right time to seek pastures new. "The last four years have been very difficult at Blackburn as I have always been No.1 before moving there, but I know they have had top goalkeepers in Brad Friedel and Paul Robinson. "When I have had opportunities in the team I believe I have taken them, but I have never had a long run in the side."

Focus

Brown is hoping to get some valuable first-team action under his belt at Leeds and is focused on doing his best for the club during his time at Elland Road. "I am thankful to Blackburn, the manager and chairman for letting me go out to Leeds on loan and all I am focusing on is doing my best for them," added Brown. "We have a lot of games coming up and I want to be playing in them. "I am taking each day as it comes and my aim is to earn a contract somewhere when my contract at Blackburn expires."
