Former Gunners star's Prem return talk cooled

Gilberto Silva's agent has played down talk linking the Brazilian ace with a move back to the Premier League. Reports in Greece have suggested that new Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson was lining up a move for the former Arsenal midfielder from Panathinaikos. It has been suggested Hodgson was keen on signing Gilberto as a possible replacement for Inter Milan target Javier Mascherano. Gilberto, who was a member of Brazil's World Cup squad, was a major success in England with Arsenal before making the move to Panathinaikos in 2008. A number of other Premier League clubs are also thought to keeping tabs on Gilberto's situation in Greece. However, Gilberto's representative, Frank Trimboli of Base Soccer, insists the South American is happy to stay in Greece. "Gilberto is very happy in Greece," Trimboli told skysports.com. "Gilberto always wants to play at the highest level and Panathinaikos can offer him the chance to play in the Champions League.
