Seasiders boss confident of imminent deal

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway hopes Israeli defender Dekel Keinan will complete his move to the club in the next 48 hours. The 25-year-old is set to become the Seasiders' first signing of the summer, as they prepare for the upcoming Premier League campaign. Keinan has passed a medical at Bloomfield Road and is waiting on a work permit before completing his switch. Holloway hopes to secure his services in the next few days, and will keep playing the defender during Blackpool's pre-season games. "Hopefully Dekel will get his work permit in the next couple of days," he told the Blackpool Gazette. "He'll be able to take part in the other games here in Devon."

Educate

Meanwhile, Holloway admits Blackpool will miss striker Ben Burgess, who has opted to move to Notts County. "I wanted to keep Ben but someone offered him a two-year deal and he made that decision," he added. "We were going to offer him a deal whereby if he played he would be paid a lot more than he's getting at Notts County, but he goes with our best wishes. He played a big part. "Having a big fella up front who can keep hold of the thing is a big help. "Some of our fans didn't appreciate it and wanted him to run through and score from 40 yards. "It's a shame we couldn't educate everyone in what he did do and how important he was to the team. We are going to miss him."
