Arsene Wenger expects William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre to leave and has cooled talk of a bid for Mark Schwarzer.

Gunners boss also plays down Schwarzer interest

Arsene Wenger expects William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre to join other clubs and has played down talk of a move for Mark Schwarzer. Defensive duo Gallas and Silvestre are out of contract at Arsenal and have yet to make decisions regarding their futures. Gallas has been linked with Juventus and Panathinaikos, while his fellow Frenchman has been mooted for a move to Malaga. Gunners boss Wenger is also unsure of Sol Campbell's future intentions and hinted that the experienced trio will not be at Emirates Stadium next season. "I believe that Gallas and Silvestre will sign somewhere else," said Wenger. "Sol Campbell is still in no man's land at the moment."

Looking

Arsenal have been linked with a £4million move for Fulham goalkeeper Schwarzer but, when asked whether he was interested in a deal, Wenger replied: "Not really. "We are still looking at various situations, but I would not like to come out on any individuals." Manuel Almunia missed Arsenal's friendly win over Barnet on Saturday through illness and Wenger is yet to decide who will be his first-choice keeper during the coming campaign. He added: "At the moment, in pre-season, there is no No.1 - you have to give a chance to everyone to show how good he is. You cannot decide that today." The Arsenal manager's own future has to be resolved soon, with his current agreement finishing in the summer of 2011. Wenger said: "I don't think anyone can question my own commitment to this club. "The important thing is the feeling that I have, that I do well enough for the club."
