Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has ruled out a move for Burnley defender Tyrone Mears.

No plans for Burnley raid

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has ruled out a move for Burnley defender Tyrone Mears. Reports had suggested Coyle was lining up a raid on his old club for full-back Mears, who he signed during his time in charge at Turf Moor. Mears is thought to be considering his future at Burnley following their relegation from the Premier League. However, Coyle insists he is not in the market for the former Derby and Preston defender. "There has been no offer for Tyrone and there won't be one," Coyle told the Bolton Evening News.
