A number of contract issues resolved at Reading

Reading have confirmed they have offered new contracts to Icelandic pair Ivar Ingimarsson and Brynjar Gunnarsson. The Royals are building for next season under manager Brian McDermott after an excellent end to the campaign which saw them rise to ninth in the Championship. Defensive midfielder Gunnarsson, 34, and centre-half Ingimarsson, 32, who have been at the club since 2005 and 2003 respectively, have both been offered one-year extensions at the Madejski. Reading will also be giving new professional deals to academy products Jake Taylor, Abdulai Bell-Baggie, Michael Hector, Simon Locke, Jack Mills, James Rowe and Jacob Walcott. However, they are also seeing some departures as Liam Rosenior will leave the club after spending the season on loan at Ipswich. Rosenior started 26 games for the Tractor Boys and his future now lies away from Reading. The Royals have also released Oliver Bozanic, Mitchell Bryant and Radoslav Vasilev.
